Taster Event at the Wiener Holocaust Library

An evening talk (6:30-8pm) focusing on Holocaust testimonies from Argentina. Historians Bruno Garbari (Holocaust Museum Buenos Aires) and Zoltán Kékesi (Center for Collective Violence UCL) present two oral history collections: a new set of survivor interviews recorded at the Holocaust Museum in Buenos Aires, and interviews with ordinary German-Argentinians from the Wiener Holocaust Library's Final Account: Third Reich Testimonies. Together, these sources nuance the image of Argentina as a land of Nazi fugitives and uncover lesser-known histories of native German-Argentinians and Jewish survivors, offering a rare glimpse into personal memories of Nazism and the Holocaust in Latin America.
