Bedford House Community Association aims to enhance quality of life through adult education, offering art, fitness, and leisure courses, particularly for individuals aged 55 and over.
Volunteers are invited to support a qualitative research project exploring the centre’s impact on the local community. Tasks will include assisting with interviews and focus groups, transcription, and preliminary data analysis.
The project follows a community co-design approach, ensuring that local voices guide the research and inform future services. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in social research, ageing, education, or community development
Duties
- Assist with interview/survey design
- Support qualitative data collection or analysis
- Help draft research reports or presentation materials
Who will the volunteers be working with?
BHCA staff, the course attendees, and potentially their families and friends.
Training
Volunteers will receive induction training from BHCA staff, providing essential information about BHCA and its services, along with guidance on crafting interview questions and maintaining appropriate tones. Additionally, volunteers are encouraged to reach out to Lykke for ongoing assistance and support.
