Description

Why we want you

Whether it’s running our cheer point, helping at the meet and greet area, or registering runners our volunteers play a vital role in making events happen. Be part of our team.

You will be supporting more than 200 of our amazing fundraisers who are running the TCS London Marathon for the National Autistic Society.

Having an enthusiastic support team makes such a difference to those taking part, giving them a boost by cheering them on or by making sure they have all the information they need on the day, as well as welcoming them to our runners’ reception at the end of the race.

Duties

What you will be doing

  • Cheerpoint Volunteer - clap, shout and cheer-on our runners at our cheer point where there will be a BBQ and a steel drum band. Our cheer point is at the Holiday Inn Express, Limehouse (mile 14 and 21)
  • Post-race reception volunteer: get ready for a champion’s welcome and register runners and meet their families at the hotel providing information about food, showers, photos and massages. Exact timings and details for each role will be sent out to in a separate brief but all are within the parameters of 9am-6pm.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
There will be National Autistic Society staff on hand to answer any questions
