Description

A woman mentor is an experienced and trusted adviser or guide. On a general level, your role as a mentor is to build a relationship of mutual trust with the mentee you work with and to act as an effective model for them. Your role will include listening, informing and advising the mentee and also demonstrating an understanding of the problems and challenges faced. A key aspect of your role will be to provide encouragement and motivation. In this respect, you will be trying to help women to become more fully aware of their ability to succeed and to gain a realistic, but imaginative, insight into the range of employment prospects and other opportunities that are open to them. Due to the nature of the volunteering opportunity, we can only accept female volunteers.
