Nawal Moalin (she/her)
Empowering students, Impacting communities.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected, I aim to actively expand and modernise our volunteering network. I want to secure stronger partnerships with high impact local organisations, introduce clearer progression routes for student volunteers, and ensure opportunities are consistent, well-communicated and meaningful. My focus is on measurable impact-increasing participation, improving organisation and flexibility of the event system, and making our university known for genuine community contribution making this a rewarding process for everyone involved. I hope to inspire both students and communities we will work by with.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I bring both practical experiences and genuine commitment to service. I completed a mountain fundraiser to support Palestinian humanitarian causes by raising over £1000 and volunteered in places like care homes, working closely with residents and staff. These experiences have strengthened my resilience, empathy and ability to take initiative. I am organised, reliable and driven to translate compassion into meaningful, well-coordinated action to improve existing and new opportunities. My priority is ensuring student involved feel valued, empowered and proud of the difference they are making.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Vote for me because I combine proven commitment with action. Volunteering and aiding are personal passions that align closely with my future career goals, and I have began demonstrating this through fundraising challenges and hands on volunteering. I bring organisation, accountability and energy to the role, ensuring the opportunities we have are impactful, well-run and rewarding for all students. I will actively promote volunteering, create initiatives that respond to real community needs, and make sure every student involved are proud of the difference  they are making in the long term.
