Annabel Tillyer (she/her)
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
  • Collaborative, open, and safe space.
  • I hope to make QTPOC more widespread and valued.
  • Effective coordination with POC officers and proudly voice any QTPOC concerns.
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
  • One of the founding members of Intersectional Justice Society. Understand what it is like to start a network/society from scratch and the work that must go into it.
  • Keen interest in intersectionality, intersectional policy, and human rights.
  • Transition mentor capable of planning regular sessions catered to society.
  • Have done multiple presentations on topics similar to those in QTPOC.
  • I love QTPOC! Would hate to see it dwindle in any way, so prepared to put in my all.
Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I think the main reason would be my love for QTPOC. It is such a cherished society where people can truly feel themselves. I have felt like an outsider in both ACS and LGBTQ+ UCL-run events, and this society is a place of solace for many people like me. I would be more than happy with any role that helps to keep this society thriving.

I believe that students are not voting for a specific person but voting to keep the society alive!
