What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
- Collaborative, open, and safe space.
- I hope to make QTPOC more widespread and valued.
- Effective coordination with POC officers and proudly voice any QTPOC concerns.
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
- One of the founding members of Intersectional Justice Society. Understand what it is like to start a network/society from scratch and the work that must go into it.
- Keen interest in intersectionality, intersectional policy, and human rights.
- Transition mentor capable of planning regular sessions catered to society.
- Have done multiple presentations on topics similar to those in QTPOC.
- I love QTPOC! Would hate to see it dwindle in any way, so prepared to put in my all.
Please summarise why students should vote for you.
I think the main reason would be my love for QTPOC. It is such a cherished society where people can truly feel themselves. I have felt like an outsider in both ACS and LGBTQ+ UCL-run events, and this society is a place of solace for many people like me. I would be more than happy with any role that helps to keep this society thriving.
I believe that students are not voting for a specific person but voting to keep the society alive!
