As someone who has been involved in MT's events such as their galas and Fresher's musicals, they have been a great opportunity for me to express myself and meet new people. Therefore, I am running in hopes to help out in future events in order to further foster the community for all Musical Theatre society members and provide more outlets for people's creativity.

Hannah Wang

Hi, my dear MT people! I'm Hannah, and I'm so excited to be running for our Events Officer!

As a member of MTSoc for the past two years, I’ve enjoyed every minute of being part of this society. MTSoc has created a community where we can bring our creative visions to life, no matter our role in a production or level of experience. Through this shared passion, I’ve truly found my place. I love the feeling of seeing the cast, band, production team and crew working together to make an event happen, big or small.

That’s why it would be a real honour to take on this role. If elected, I hope to continue fostering creative inclusivity within the society. I would love to keep running our traditional events while also exploring new forms with fellow committee members, creating more opportunities for aspiring actors and producers at different stages of their creative journey, starting with reviewing "Tiny Mini Thing" submissions. I would also encourage collaborations with other societies, alumni and industry professionals - hopefully opening up new perspectives on postgraduate study and career paths.

Through leadership roles in theatre clubs in high school, and as a participant in Spotlight and term show production teams at UCL, I’ve developed strong creative, communication and organisational skills that would help me take on this role.

MT events have made every day feel like an adventure for me, and I’d love to share that feeling with everyone. So please consider voting for me — thank you!
