Molly Hanya

Hi everyone!

I'm Molly and I’m running for Events Officer this year!

Having loved being part of the jazz committee for the past two years, I bring hands-on experience running a variety of events, from charity events and small shows I’ve directed, to being on production teams for Bloomsbury Theatre shows, as well as supporting regular jazz events over the last two and a half years, including workshops, jams, and performances.

You may know me as the current welfare officer, a role that keeps me well connected with the members of the society. I feel confident working on committee and coming up with new ideas to keep the society fun and accessible to all!

Why vote for me? Well, I believe that my previous experience organising events within Jazz soc and across ArtsUCL makes me a strong candidate and I am excited to create more opportunities for choir, big band, and I also have some ideas for small band projects, as well as collaborations with other societies and committee members to bring the community together through events throughout the academic year. (e.g. planning socials with the social secretary)

Jazz has been my favourite part of UCL since I joined, and I know the inner workings of the society super well. You can trust that your vote will go to someone committed to maintaining good vibes and creating fun opportunities for everyone.

Thank you <3
