Jazz Society: Big Band Manager

Hi, My name is Sei! For those who don't know me already, I am a first year Biomedical science student and joined Big Band at the start of this year. I would like to stand for the role of Big Band Manager because I love the Big Band, and I thought this would give me the perfect opportunity to step up and take a more active role in supporting it. Big Band is such an important part of the Jazz Society, and I would be excited to help ensure that things run smoothly both in rehearsals and performances.

One thing I treasure about Big Band is maintaining a strong balance between joyfulness and seriousness within the band. I believe Big Band should be a space where people genuinely enjoy being, but at the same time somewhere we work hard and challenge ourselves. I would want rehearsals to feel productive and focused, while still keeping the fun, relaxed atmosphere which makes playing in Big Band special.
