Hi everyone!

I’m Hana, a second-year Politics and International Relations student, and a research member of the Global Health and Safety team. As a research member myself, I understand the difficulties of balancing demanding academic work with society activities. I believe I can support and ensure the welfare of everyone and address any concerns swiftly.

As the language director of the UCL Japan Society this year, I have experience in managing a large number (approx. 30) of people and their well-being. I am coordinating all their schedules, conducting regular check-ins, gathering feedback, and ensuring no one feels overwhelmed or unsupported. Beyond this, I’ve also managed a volunteer organisation I founded in high school, which has given me a practical, grounded understanding of how to manage people’s time, energy, and mental load, keeping them engaged rather than burnt out.

Bentham Brooks Institute is a unique place that attracts students invested in policy and research, and I want to make sure we can all enjoy it while also producing amazing work!
