Nazrin Baghirova

Hello everyone!

Before I even entered UCL, I was already following AniSoc's activities on social media throughout the summer. Seeing the vibrant and friendly community online encouraged me to fully commit to joining the society and participating in its events. I am happy to say that along my journey here, I have gained friends (and a reputation for being the "Saiki K Guy"!) and have made long-lasting memories.

Truth be told, I want to continue contributing to the society on a larger scale. If I'm elected as an event officer, I will diversify the range of events to include art-related events, collaborations with other societies and universities, screenings, unique workshops, quizzes, trips/visits, cosplay events, and more. Furthermore, I will dedicate my time to ensuring marginalised communities are well represented through dedicated activities in hopes of creating a safe and inclusive space for all members.

I am not completely inexperienced either. I have worked in numerous positions dedicated to management and organising, including under state committees, the student council, and interscholastic events. I assure you all that you will be in reliable hands!

My vision for the society is creating a fun and engaging safe space that all AniSoc members can enjoy the same way I did this year, and I hope that it will attract more members for the future!

Yours sincerely,
Naz (The Saiki K Guy)
