Turkish Society: Events Coordinator

I'm Yagmur and I am thrilled to be running for the position of events officer for the Turkish Society at UCL. As a Turkish student, I believe that I can offer a unique perspective on my culture and traditions that I want to share with others. My primary goal is to organize events that will allow students to learn more about Turkey and its people. This could include cultural showcases, film screenings, talks, and more. I believe that promoting cultural exchange is an essential part of university life, and I hope to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

In addition to these events, I'm particularly excited about organizing karaoke nights and socials. These events will provide an opportunity for students to relax and get to know each other outside of our academic work. Karaoke nights, in particular, can be a fun and engaging way for students to share their musical talents and showcase different genres of Turkish music. Socials, on the other hand, will allow students to socialize and build relationships with each other. I believe that these events will help to create a stronger sense of community within the Turkish Society, and attract new members who are interested in our culture and traditions.
