Malayali Society: Welfare Officer

Namaste! My name is Vaidehi and I am a first year Physics student applying to be Mallu society’s new Welfare Officer.

I believe I would be a good fit for this role because I am an organised, committed and responsible individual. This coupled with my friendly and calm-minded personality makes me believe I would be the perfect person to maintain harmony and communication between the committee and its members.

Through my experience of working with children I have developed the patience and understanding to deal with unforeseen circumstances and situational judgement. I developed my communication skills efficaciously and completed all tasks competently. I also am a great team player allowing me to work closely with  other members on the Committee. I have sharpened my communication and cooperation skills that are transferrable to working with members in the Mallu Society Committee.

In addition to these skills, I have learnt to think on my toes and respond quickly to certain circumstances. This taught me to plan ahead for all events while maintaining a positive attitude which is exactly what I would do as Mallu Soc's Welfare Officer.

With my experience, I strongly believe I can maintain harmony within the committee and contribute to organising the best and most memorable events with the Mallu Society Committee! ! I hopefully look forward to being a member of Mallu society and bringing out the best desi events of the year. Vote me in!
