I have been the acting interim VP for anatomy society for the past weeks and have worked with the events, publicity and academic teams to streamline work and support committee roles. In the academic side of things, I helped with delegating roles within the subcommittee and ensuring everyone’s ideas were listened to regarding the structure and content of tutorials. I also played a major part in overseeing tutorials, ensuring it runs smoothly, and creating academic resources such as slides that are used.
I believe that strong leadership is grounded in collaboration, communication, and a drive to empower others. In this role, I would work closely with the President and committee members to ensure the smooth running of society activities, provide support to subcommittee members, and continue to contribute towards the society's main goals.
It's been enjoyable to make anatomy something that even non medics enjoy by fostering good collaborations with other societies and I look forward to furthering Anatomy Society’s outreach within UCL. My previous and ongoing involvement with the society has shown me the value of community and teamwork in making our events successful. Whether through event planning, promotion, or member engagement, I am eager to build on this experience and continue serving the society in a leadership role.
