Welcome to the Writers’ Society. We’re UCL’s home for creative writers of all descriptions. We’re here if you want feedback, inspiration, or just to spend time with other people who enjoy writing. All genres of writing are welcome! We aim to provide a fresh, creative, and practical approach to discussing writing for our members throughout the year.

REGULAR EVENTS

Tuesday:

  • Feedback sessions: we offer weekly separate feedback sessions for prose and poetry, alternating every week (check our socials to know what session is this week). They are held in-person in Foster Court 219 from 6 to 8 pm,  but sometimes virtually. (Please note that for each feedback session, people submit their work online before the meeting date so that everyone gets a chance to read it. Sumbission link will be posted on our socials)

  • Open microphones: occur twice a term. This is the opportunity for you to perform your work on stage and to listen to what our members have written. Grab your tickets here. Free entry for members, £1 at the door for non-members. Note, that only members can perform on stage.
