Trading Society

The UCL Trading Society is dedicated to helping members develop a deeper understanding of financial markets, investing, trading, and quantitative analysis.

Our mission is to create an environment where students from all academic backgrounds can learn about the principles that drive global markets through educational workshops, guest speaker events, market discussions, competitions, and practical training sessions.

Whether you are completely new to financial markets or already have experience in investing and trading, the society aims to provide opportunities to develop analytical skills, explore different investment approaches, and connect with like-minded students interested in finance.

Through our partnership with TradingView, the first 150 members will be able to access advanced market analysis tools, including stock screeners, charting platforms, economic calendars, and other professional resources used by investors and traders worldwide. In particular, students will have access to TradingView's Stock Screener, which helps users identify and analyse investment opportunities using a wide range of financial and market metrics.

We welcome students of all experience levels who are interested in learning more about financial markets and developing practical skills that complement their academic studies.

Student groups are run by UCL students and facilitated by Students’ Union UCL. The Union is an educational charity and part of how it supports the education of students at UCL is through facilitating a diverse range of opportunities for students to run, join and experience different interests, groups and activities. Each student group decides its own events, activities and views (within our risk management framework).
