Re-Orient Society

We are Re-Orient!!! We create bilingual magazines 📓

We aim to create a space of expression for those who have a language other than English!! That being said, You don’t need to speak two languages to belong here. Anyone interested in writing, photography, art, design, editing or the stories that emerge when cultures meet is welcome to join!

At the same time, we are also a NEWLY ESTABLISHED media society at UCL, how exciting. Lets explore magazines together, writing guidelines... etc.

We aim to publish weekly content on Recipes, Thoughts, London Exploration (Cultural Events, Food Spots, International Residents in the City ... etc), Creative work (Photography, Art, Crafts), and Creative Writing! All done bilingually.

These contents are expected to be put into Magazines at the end of terms. So Stay tuned!

You can contribute in the way that interests you: pitch an idea, write, translate, take photographs, illustrate, design pages or help edit the magazine.

No Previous Experience Needed!

Hi everyone!! 💌

Following all the amazing ideas shared at our last Theme Discussion, we’re inviting you to join us for a Creative Social!

Come along to brainstorm, experiment, and create content inspired by the theme “Dislocated” of our very first magazine.

We’d love to have you involved! So bring yourself and your ideas ⚡️

More information

Student groups are run by UCL students and facilitated by Students’ Union UCL. The Union is an educational charity and part of how it supports the education of students at UCL is through facilitating a diverse range of opportunities for students to run, join and experience different interests, groups and activities. Each student group decides its own events, activities and views (within our risk management framework).

Student groups are intended to represent the full range of views amongst our diverse student community. The Union does not endorse, approve or speak for any student group, and their statements and activities do not represent the Union’s position.
