Founded in 1946, Pi Media is the oldest-running student media society at UCL. Initially launched as a newspaper and named after former Provost David Pye, we've been creating current, insightful, and award-winning content on campus for 80 years.
We publish content across three platforms: Pi Online, Pi Magazine, and PiTV.
Pi Online is our fastest-growing platform, where we regularly post articles across six sections: News, Opinion, Features, Science & Tech, Lifestyle and Culture. From breaking campus news to insightful commentary on global politics, in-depth investigations to environmental features, or student life advice to reviews of the latest culture that London has to offer, we cover absolutely everything on this platform.
Pi Magazine is our termly print publication, available for free around campus. Each issue centres on a different theme, carefully chosen to drive discussion around current events and student life. Our special 80th anniversary issue is available now. Pick up a copy on campus or read it online here.
PiTV is the broadcasting branch of Pi Media, publishing across YouTube and Instagram. We produce a range of video projects, including short documentaries, travel diaries, student news coverage, political interviews, and collaborations with other arts societies to provide backstage access to various projects and performances.
