The Museums Society is a fun and welcoming community for anyone curious about history, culture, art, and the stories that shape our world. From museum tours, historical walks, exhibitions and speaker events to picnic socials, quiz nights, movie nights, craft sessions, debate nights, scavenger hunts and escape rooms, there’s something for everyone. Come along to explore, learn, get creative, meet new people, and enjoy history beyond the classroom!
Our events are open to everyone, so whether you already love museums or have never considered joining a society like this before, there’s always something to get involved in. We take in all sorts of students; post-grads, under 18s, commuters and international students are all welcome!
With us you will visit a wide range of places of interest, from the huge world-famous national museums to the tiny hidden gems of London. Get discounted tickets, exclusive tours and volunteering opportunities, as well as visits and discussions on museum practice with staff, students, and external speakers! But most importantly, your museum trips will be enhanced by sharing your experience with so many like-minded students...and then you get to enjoy our socials afterwards!
