Welcome to the UCL Magic Society!
We are officially the largest dedicated university Magic Society in London.
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced performer, the Magic Society is your home for all things magical. We believe you will find your magic here.
We meet twice a week to teach you the art of illusion and give you the opportunity to practice. From cards and coins to rubber bands and mind-reading, we cover them in detail alongside much more! UCL Magic Society provides two types of sessions catered to members of different experience background:
- Performance Membership (Fridays): Perfect if you want to experience magic casually. This membership gives you access to our socials and events, alternating bi-weekly between fun socials and open mic nights where you can watch or perform tricks using everyday objects. It's a low-time-commitment way to immerse yourself in illusion, with or without your friends, and become the life of any party.
- Professional Membership (Tuesdays + Fridays): Designed for those with a deep passion for magic who want to learn the art. Delve into the beauty of sleight of hand and sophisticated illusions that will leave even magicians in awe.
- Professional With a Deck Membership: The same as before, but with a little more. Everything included in the Professional Membership, plus your very own high-quality custom UCL playing cards, available in red or blue of your choice.
Is it engaging? Is it fun? Is it for me?
It's for everyone.
Beyond the Weekly Sessions:
We organise annual shows for members to showcase their skills and bring magic to the wider campus. We also attend card and magic conventions and other events to connect with the global community. All members enjoy exclusive discounts on our ticketed shows and magic-related outings!
