Ice Skating Club

Join UCL Frostbite! A friendly club where you can learn figure skating from complete beginner to advanced, alongside skaters at your level. Everyone is welcome!

We are the UCL's ice figure skating team that dedicates itself to the development of on-ice skills alongside our members’ rigorous academic endeavours.

The UCL Frostbite Figure Skaters train every Wednesday from 2pm-4pm at Lee Valley Ice Centre with professional coach instruction. Skaters are split between beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups for classes.

Frostbite combines annually with the UCL Yetis team to pull off a performance at the annual Varsity between UCL and Imperial, and we also have our annual Figure Skating Showcase for more opportunities to perform in front of a crowd!

Whether you are a total beginner who’s never set foot (or blade!) on ice or a seasoned competitive figure skater, there is a place for you on Frostbite! Contact us if you are interested in joining the team!

Student groups are run by UCL students and facilitated by Students’ Union UCL. The Union is an educational charity and part of how it supports the education of students at UCL is through facilitating a diverse range of opportunities for students to run, join and experience different interests, groups and activities. Each student group decides its own events, activities and views (within our risk management framework).
