We are RUMSFC, the Medics' Men's Football Club at UCL. Although traditionally a Medic Club, we welcome players from all courses with a united love for the beautiful game. Whether you've never kicked a ball before, or you could’ve gone pro but had a knee injury, or you're the next Erling Haaland… RUMSFC is the club for you.

After our outstanding club-wide accomplishments in 22/23, we were awarded RUMS Club of the Year.

We offer regular competitive football and weekly training for our four 11-a-side teams, including BUCS, LUSL and TeamUCL leagues, BUCS and LUSL Cups, as well as competing in the prestigious University Hospital’s Cup (the oldest footballing competition in the world second only to the FA Cup), Reserve Cup and Plate.

We have teams catering to all abilities – our 1s offer a high standard of football having remained almost undefeated in 19/20, beating UCL 1s convincingly two years on the bounce, winning Varsity 2023 over our GKT (King’s Medics) Rivals, and coming runners up in the 2023 UH Cup. Our 2s and 3s play in competitive Wednesday and Saturday LUSL leagues – the 3s making history with an INVINCIBLE 22/23 season leading to their promotion; and our 4s play weekly on Sundays.

Alongside this, we host weekly socials, including the highly anticipated 'SportsNight' at Mully's Basement Bar on Gower Street every Wednesday evening (KO: 7.30pm - Don't be late!), as well as plenty of other big events throughout the year. There are TWO football tours in the year, where members get a chance to visit the exotic and cultural wonders of the UK and abroad, as well as the opportunity to play in the exclusive NAMS Medical Schools’ Football Tournament, which we've never lost to date.

At RUMSFC we tailor our services specifically to the medical school curriculum by offering regular tutorials (run by our senior years and alumni), learning resources, exam practice and education opportunities for its members to guide them throughout their academic journey.

As a club we also aim to do more. We are the largest fundraising club in RUMS for ‘Movember’ supporting Men’s Mental Health Charities. In 2022, we raised a club record £2,683! We support the local community by volunteering weekly with our partnered charity: Step Football.

The club is a fantastic opportunity to meet life-long friends, enjoy university life, and of course, play the beautiful game. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch via our Instagram (@rumsmfc), DM us your questions or follow the associated links.
