At UCL Women’s Cricket Club, we create an inclusive, fun environment where women of all abilities can enjoy cricket. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned player, we offer a vibrant calendar of training, matches, socials, and welfare activities to make your time at UCL memorable.
We train at iconic venues, including the ‘Home of Cricket’ Lord’s and The Oval, and participate in exciting events like the MCC Foundation’s Cricket For All tournament. Our 1XI hardball team competes in BUCS leagues during the summer, alongside friendlies and relaxed matches for our development squad. A highlight of the year is our varsity match against King’s College London, where we proudly hold the title of reigning champions since the women’s varsity began in 2022.
Off the pitch, our social schedule brings members together through activities like our Welcome Dinner, pizza and crafts nights, bi-weekly sports socials, and summer trips to watch live cricket. This year, we’re also hosting our inaugural tour, which promises to be a highlight of university life.
What we have planned:
- Indoor winter nets at Lord’s (Advanced/Intermediate)
- Indoor developmental training at St. Aloysius College (Beginner/Intermediate)
- Summer nets at Regent's Park (Advanced/Intermediate)
- Weekly socials, including sports nights, painting socials and team dinners
- BUCS indoor and outdoor leagues
- Friendly softball matches and league

- Weekend UK Tour!
- Volunteering and charity events throughout the year.
