At UCL Women's Cricket Club, we are proud to create an inclusive, fun environment for everyone to enjoy cricket at all levels. We offer a vibrant calendar of training, matches, socials and welfare activities for all our members, whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned cricketer. We train at various venues throughout the year, including the 'Home of Cricket', Lord's Cricket Ground and the Oval, and embrace external opportunities such as partaking in the MCC Foundation's 'Cricket For All' tournament. In the summer, our 1XI hardball team participates in BUCS and LUSL leagues, and we organise friendlies and relaxed matches for our softball team. A highlight of the year is our varsity match against King's College London, the first women's varsity being won by our stellar team last year.

Our social schedule is packed with activities to get to know each other better, such as our Welcome Dinner in the first week of university, wholesome pizza and crafts nights and, of course, our weekly sports nights. In the summer, we organise welfare trips to community farms and trips to watch live cricket matches, as they happen so abundantly in London. We will also host our inaugural tour, which we hope will be a highlight of your time at the university.

What we have planned:

  • Indoor nets at Lord’s in the winter
  • Summer nets at Regent's Park in the summer
  • Weekly beginner sessions at Somers Town Community Sports Centre
  • Strength and Conditioning Classes at Bloomsbury Theatre

Whether you are an experienced player or complete beginner, we cannot wait to welcome you into the UCL WCC family! If you have any questions or would like more information, please drop our President an email at [email protected], join our Whatsapp group and follow our Instagram!

Please note that though we are a 'women's' club, we are open to everyone regardless of their gender identity and exist to provide a safe space for women and non-binary people.

Full membership gives you access to all the activities listed under the 'what we have planned' heading. Social membership gives you access to weekly socials and member events only.
