What is Competitive Programming?
Competitive programming is a scientific mind sport around solving computational problems with efficiency and time constraints using logic and algorithms. It helps develop essential skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork, all of which are highly valued in both academics and the tech industry.
Relevant experience offers you an edge in industry via enhanced coding proficiency, real-world problem experience, and mastery of advanced data structures and algorithms. (These are the very aspects technical assessments/interviews target!)
Activities & Operations
Our operational goals include
- providing members a common social space,
- introducing the sport to more students within UCL, and
- coordinating and providing resources and support for everyone to advance their skills and prosper in external contests...
- showing you how to land that sweet 20k per month quant internship*
Newly founded in T2 of 24/25, we have delivered multiple contests, technical talks, a workshop, and sent a team to ICPC**. Yet, we are small; by joining, you help us in accessing more exclusive resources and providing higher quality support.
Communications
All of our current communications, including event announcements (weekly), are through our Instagram account and WhatsApp group! The WhatsApp group is open for question and requests too; you will also find the committee members there.
