Results day for the 2018-19 academic year is taking place on Tuesday 2nd July. We know this can be a stressful time which is why our Advice Service has put together some useful information about what happens next.
Late Summer Assessments
If you did not achieve the results you need to progress or be awarded your qualification, you will probably need to resit some exams during the late summer assessment period. This will take place from 19 August to 6 September 2019. The exam timetable will be published on 19 July and you will receive an email to your UCL email account with your personal timetable. You will also be able to view your timetable on Portico. You can find more information about the late summer assessment period here.
Unhappy with your results?
If you are unhappy with your results, or would just like some general feedback, you may want to contact your department or personal tutor to arrange a time to discuss this.
If you have reason to believe that UCL’s academic regulations and related procedures were not followed correctly in the marking of your exam, you may want to consider submitting an academic complaint. However, please note that it is not possible to submit a complaint on the basis of academic judgement. This means that complaints will not be considered on the grounds that the examiners’ assessment was incorrect. This is because all assessments will already have undergone a rigorous marking and moderating process. You can find more information about the Complaints process here.
Certificate and Transcripts
If you have completed your degree, you will now be sent your certificate and five copies of your transcript to your home address. You should receive these documents within 3 months of your degree being conferred.
The Advice Service will be holding a results drop-in session on Thursday 4 July between 10:00 – 12:00 and 14:30 – 16:30. Please come along if you have any queries about your results, or would like some advice about what happens next. The session will run on a ‘first come first served basis’ so make sure to arrive early.
If you would like some more detailed advice about an academic complaint, please submit a contact form here and we can book you a longer appointment.
