Webbe Chu (She Her)
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If I’m elected, I’ll work to make support for women more visible and accessible. I’ll work with the social secretary to cater events that focus on creating a strong community by organizing regular, varied, and welcoming events where women can share their experiences, support each other, and build connections. I’ll actively advocate for policies that benefit women, working closely with the university administration to ensure our institution’s policies are fair and supportive of women’s needs. Additionally, I’ll always be here to listen and support you through any individual struggles.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I work fulltime outside the university in a male-dominated industry, I understand the unique challenges women face in institutions. This experience has equipped me with resilience and a strong sense of advocacy for gender equality. I have held various student leadership positions, including roles in Model United Nations (MUN), the AV team, Debate, Dance, and student representation. These experiences have honed my organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, making me well-prepared to lead initiatives and support my peers effectively.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Beyond all the mentioned traits I make mean brownies and cookies and you won't regret voting for me!
