Fighting homelessness is incredibly dear to my heart. Volunteering for the UCL Student Action Against Homelessness Society has been such a privilege. To develop a deeper understanding of the complex issues affecting homeless people, I recently studied a module on homelessness and healthcare. Learning about these complex issues has strengthened my determination to do all I can to fight homelessness.

As well as volunteering for this society, I also hold key roles in other charities which fight inequality. I am the regional head of In2MedSchool, a charity which helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds apply to medical school. Additionally, as part of Befriend Your Boobs, I teach girls in high risk populations how to examine themselves for breast cancer. These roles have helped me to develop my leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Furthermore, I have an abundance of experience in being a publicity officer. I have been on the social media subcommittee for RUMS Welfare for the last two years and I was also the publicity officer for the Make A Smile Society and the UCL Medical Society Pathology Subcommittee. Through these roles, I have become proficient at using Canva and strengthened my creativity.

Therefore, as a result of my determination to fight homelessness, my passion for volunteering and my experience in being a publicity officer, I believe that I am the right person for this role.
