As a prospective welfare officer for the Statistics Society, I am deeply motivated to serve in this role due to my passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive community within our organization. I currently am studying Statistics, Economics and Finance and am really passionate towards statistics. Last year I went to a number of statistics society events and I really enjoyed the time gathering with fellow statstics lover. Therefore, I hope for next year I will be able to help to contribute towards the society being a welfare officer. I will try my best to make sure our members to feel supported and be able to enjoy the events. Thank you.
As a first-year Data Science student at UCL, I am excited to run for the position of Welfare Officer in the Stats Society. My motivation for this role stems from a strong commitment to ensuring the well-being and academic success of my peers. I believe that fostering a supportive and inclusive community is crucial, especially in a field as challenging as statistics. With my background in data science, I am particularly interested in using data-driven insights to identify and address the specific needs of our members, promoting mental health awareness, and organizing events that enhance our learning experience. My goal is to make the Stats Society not only a place for academic enrichment but also a supportive space where all students feel valued and empowered.
