Hey I’m Harriet - I really want to give back to this amazing club and so I have decided to run as one of the social secretaries this year.

We have so many new ideas for socials this year that we think everyone will enjoy. As avid Scala-goers (you have probably seen us there every single week!) we think we would be great and creating some really exciting socials and we would be very committed in this.

We would like to introduce the concept of netball 'families', whereby the seniors are put in groups with freshers as we think this will really help new members feel comfortable in the club. As our first social next year, we would love to establish these families and get you girls dressing in some pretty funny outfits. While the social will be really good fun, we also think it is a great way of creating a more inclusive community and integrating competitive and social netball. As well as this social we are thinking about more ideas: 'Rhyme without reason', and a ‘dress as your culture/country’ social. We also want to introduce more games within these socials.

Next year we will all have our own flats and houses that we would love to host house parties!

We also want to place a focus on being very active on social media by getting a TikTok and posting the best-dressed or best partier of the week.

We would also like to introduce the idea of socials with other London University netball teams

Thank you so much & I hope I can play a role in keeping up UCNC’s fun and welcoming atmosphere
