Nature and Conservation Society: Communications Secretary

Hello I'm Serena and I'm a first year Geophysics student whose interests lie in nature and the study of the Earth. This past year I have really enjoyed being a part of Nature and Conservation society, regularly attending the biweekly bird-walks and talks held and would love to play an active role in spreading the word about the society! 

As communications secretary I would hope to let more people know about the events Nature and Conservation Society holds by means of social media and mailing lists, for example in promoting the annual conference held in February.

As current treasurer of Beekeeping Society I have experience in a committee role and understand the importance of communicating with society members regarding events, as well as the value of organisational skills. Hopefully in the future this connection may mean that a collaborative event between the societies could be held!
