I've had an incredible experience this year as Assistant Rep for The Crucible, and have gained so much insight into the production process from all the coachings/stage piano/rehearsals I was a part of! I'm so excited to take up the challenge of producing next year's opera, hopefully we can outdo ourselves for 2025!! <3

Aruanna Sapayeva Levin

Hii!

I have greatly enjoyed being a part of the Music Society this year, and taking part in the Symphony Chorus and the chorus for this year's opera. Having helped to produce several shows across theatre communities at UCL, and being a stage manager for the National Opera in my home country, I understand and enjoy the process of theatre production. As the opera co-producer, alongside Victoria, I hope to collaborate with everyone on the creative team to bring their vision to the Bloomsbury stage. I want to make the experience of being in the opera welcoming and enjoyable to everyone involved, from stage crew and set builders to cast and chorus members. I hope everyone will enjoy the process, have fun, and we will create a great piece of theatre together! x ;)

I sang in the UCOpera as a member of the Chorus this year, and it was an amazing experience that I am so grateful to have been a part of. Working with the incredibly talented cast and team of professionals was so inspiring, and I would love to get a closer look at the more intricate details involved in producing such a high-quality and complex show. The producers this year did an amazing job organising the casting, costuming, set design, and rehearsal schedules, and I would love to be more involved in this process. In the past, I have helped to arrange similar aspects of plays and musicals, and feel that working on a production of this scale would be a perfect way to test the skills I have previously gained. I am very hard-working and dedicated, and would do my best to ensure that the opera is successful and every member of the cast and crew has as much fun as I did this past year. Thank you for your consideration :)
