Lincoln Cheng

Hi all! I'd like to run for President of Leadership and Management Society this year. Starting off with my personal experience,

Research:

I'm the current President of the UCL United Nations Association, served as President for 3 other societies, served as a Research Assistant for UCL Centre for Research and Migration Analysis and a Student Researcher for UCL AI Society Nexus Labs.

Leadership:

My leadership acumen is illustrated by my experience in organising large scale conferences such as the UCLMUN as Deputy Secretary General with around 200 participants from over 15 countries/regions, and Leading societies such as UCLUNA and Bentham Brooks Institute as President;

I promise five major changes that would happen under my leadership;

1. Develop the Leadership and Management Society Careers Programme (*Nearly Done*)

2. Increase collaboration with other societies such as UCL EFS and UCLUNA society and co-hosting events

3. Partnership with Business Sector professionals for speaker events

4. Increase publicity of UCL Leadership and Management Society

I would love to continue my work from the last term, and for that would appreciate your vote of confidence :)

Haoyu Wang

Hi!

I'm Haoyu, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the presidency of the UCL Leadership and Management Society (LMS). As a proactive member of various UCL societies, I have honed my skills in organizing and leading teams to deliver impactful events and workshops.

Here is my agenda for the UCL Leadership and Management Society:

  • Diverse Learning Platforms: I plan to enhance our current offering by integrating a broader range of topics in our workshops and guest lectures, including emerging trends in tech and entrepreneurship alongside our existing focus on Finance, Consulting, Data Science, Politics, and Media.
  • Professional Networking: Building on our tradition of hosting formal conferences, I will strengthen our connections with industry leaders to increase opportunities for networking and mentorship for our members.
  • Interactive and Practical Experiences: I intend to introduce more interactive formats, such as case studies and simulation games, to provide practical leadership and management experiences that are crucial for understanding real-world challenges.
  • Sustainability and Long-Term Vision: I will ensure that all our initiatives are sustainable, seeking partnerships and sponsorships that align with our society’s values and long-term goals.

Thank you for your support. Together, we can cultivate a robust community of future leaders equipped with the necessary skills to excel in diverse fields.
