Classics Society: Outreach Officer

Hiya I’m Polly and I am hoping to be your outreach officer next year. I am excited to organise fun academic events that are tailored to the general interests of the student body which will be no problem because I am friendly and very approachable! I aim to invite speakers who will hopefully broaden your knowledge within Classics and introduce you to new topics you never knew you could be interested in. I believe that with my organisation skills and passion for the subject, I will be able to plan events that are fun, interesting and desirable. My role as Head of charity in my sixth form proves that I have the organisational skills to plan events. I volunteered at my local library and implemented a summer programme to read myths to children and made my own resources to teach them the Ancient Greek alphabet, so I am very passionate about the subject!
