Chinese Society: President

Hi!

I'm Haoyu, and I am running for President of the UCL Chinese Society. I am actively involved in various student organizations at UCL, which has equipped me with vital leadership and organizational skills.  With your support, I aim to leverage these experiences to enrich our society further.

Here’s what I plan to bring to the UCL Chinese Society:

• Cultural Enrichment: I will expand our cultural programming to include a wider variety of events that celebrate both well-known and underrepresented aspects of Chinese culture, enhancing our educational outreach and cultural pride.

• Academic Support: Building on my previous roles, I plan to implement a comprehensive support system including peer mentoring and workshops aimed at academic excellence and professional development.

• Operational Excellence: Drawing on my experience in society management, I will streamline our processes to improve efficiency, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively to benefit all members.

• Community Building: I am dedicated to creating stronger bonds within our society through regular social events, discussion forums, and community service projects, making our society a home away from home.
