Lincoln Cheng

Hi all! I'd like to run for Vice President of Business Society this year. Starting off with my personal experience,

Research:

I'm the current President for UCLUNA, Vice President of the Bentham Brooks Institute Think Tank, served as a Research Assistant for UCL Centre for Research and Migration Analysis and a Student Researcher for UCL AI Society Nexus Labs.

Leadership:

My leadership acumen is illustrated by my experience in organising large scale conferences such as the UCLMUN as Deputy Secretary General with nearly 200 participants, and Leading societies such as UCLUNA and Bentham Brooks Institute as President

I promise four major changes that would happen under my leadership;

1. Develop the Business Society Careers Programme

2. Increase collaboration with other societies such as UCLUNA society and co-hosting events

3. Partnership with FinTech Sector professionals for speaker events

4. Increase publicity of UCL Business Society (*Done*)

Gavriel Tan

Hey! I am Gavriel and I am running for the VP of Innovation and Enterprise, leveraging my entrepreneurial experience gained from leading my startup, Altimate Nutrition. My aim is to contribute to the innovation ecosystem within the business society by advocating for innovation, whether through corporate initiatives or entrepreneurial endeavors.

If elected for the society, I would:

1. Establish an Innovation Incubator: Create a dedicated space or program where members can incubate and develop their innovative ideas into viable projects or businesses. This initiative would provide mentorship, resources, and networking opportunities to foster creativity and entrepreneurship within the society.

2. Organize Innovation Workshops and Seminars: Host regular workshops and seminars focused on topics such as design thinking, lean startup methodology, and emerging technologies. These events would provide members with practical knowledge and skills to drive innovation in their respective fields and industries.

3. Facilitate Collaboration and Networking: Facilitate collaboration between members, industry professionals, and external stakeholders through networking events, industry visits, and partnership opportunities.
