Biotechnology Society: Treasurer

Dear members of UCL Biotechnology Society, I am Louis. Drawing from my experience in the Social Sciences of Science and Technologies, and Economics, and diverse professional experiences make me uniquely qualified to serve as your next Treasurer.

My academic background, quantitative skills, and leadership roles as President of my departmental society combine effectively with professional experiences in the political and financial industry. This blend equipped me with the requisite expertise in financial management and strategic resource allocation which are vital for the meticulous and transparent handling of gov & pol society’s finances.

As your Treasurer, I will ensure transparency and efficiency in our financial dealings. My agenda includes:

• Strategic Budgeting: Implement rigorous budgeting techniques to maximise the utility of our funds across events and initiatives.
• Financial Reporting: Provide clear, regular updates on our financial status to all members, ensuring full transparency.
• Funding Optimization: Seek additional funding opportunities through SU grants and partnerships to expand our society’s activities without overstretching our budget.

I am committed to applying my skills to foster a financially healthy and vibrant Biotechnology Society at UCL.
