I am standing to be the Media Officer for Anime Society because of my long-time passion for anime! I have been a fan of anime for about 9 years now and have too many to count, so I know anime well enough to be a committee member! I am also a huge fan of Japanese culture more generally as I grew up in Japan; I'm currently trying to (re)-learn Japanese. I love media that is closely associated with anime too; I read plenty of manga and play loads of video/gacha games!



In terms of the role, I have plenty of experience as a Social Media officer; I handle social media for UCL's Lapis Zine, and create social media posts for my own charity zine that I started based on Honkai Star Rail (@quintetmemories on Twitter). I have at least 5 years of experience handling social media more generally, as I have run editing and helped run journalling accounts before. I think I would be perfect for the role, and I would love to contribute ideas to help the society grow and reach more fans.

On a serious note, I have a knack for creativity which I can leverage to create our society's social media content. I am adept at using Canva, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, iBis PaintX and many more. I have successfully created official logos for my undergraduate department and also for a company involved in 'Slice of Life' content.

In the end, anime is a crucial part of my life and supporting it in any way brings me immense joy that I love sharing with my friends^^
