African Caribbean Society: Sponsorships and Careers

As your Sponsorship & Careers officer, I want to make understanding your opportunities after graduation much easier for every member of the ACS. I’m passionate about increasing the availability of opportunity to attend interesting events, do internships, and even build a strong network. In my role, I will ensure every ACS member can develop a strong insight into their future career, through talks from industry leaders, corporate outreach events, and direct partnerships with companies.

In the role, I will use my strong communication skills, great drive, and previous experience leading education sessions to run new career-oriented events, alongside inviting exciting guests for these. I want to provide workshops allowing members to improve their employability skills before applying for internships, graduate jobs, or postgraduate education. As an active member of the UCL ACS all year, I know about the talent here, and want to nurture an environment where we can all take steps to our full potential.

Having worked with finance, technology, law, and FMCG companies, I have made some great connections in many industries and hope to share their knowledge with you. Every student should be able to learn and explore their options first-hand, and I hope that everything I bring to the role prepares you well.
