I want to make the arts community at UCL more visible, connected and supported. I’ll help people and arts societies to collaborate, share events and get their work seen and celebrated.
I am approachable, organised and genuinely care about creatives and arts societies. I am always up for a good chat about your ideas and your society’s next big plan. I bring experience in teamwork and event planning where everyone feels welcome and heard.
Vote for me if you want a Rep who listens, communicates and delivers. I’ll make sure the arts at UCL feel fun, fair and vibrant.
I aim to improve the arts experience for students at all levels, mainly focusing on:
- Transparency and consistency
- Introducing consistent guidelines for the production process across societies to encourage a culture of inclusiveness.
- Continuing to build ArtsConnect as a central hub for society communication, event promotion, and inter-society collaboration.
- Performance venues: Working with UCL to improve access to affordable performance venues with enough pre-show tech time.
- Workshops: Providing professional-led training sessions for artsUCL-applicable skills, especially production team roles.
My experience in a range of arts societies, including Live Music, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Stage Crew, has given me unique insight into UCL's student arts landscape. I’ve performed in eight Blooms shows and numerous small shows, music-directed several productions (including the record-breaking Shrek (2024)), and sound-designed Home (2025). Currently, I’m music-directing Sister Act and serving as Tech Officer for the Live Music Society. My extensive involvement in artsUCL has given me an in-depth understanding of the challenges arts societies face and the areas that need improvement.
The arts community at UCL provides an incomparable opportunity to explore any facet of performance and production irrespective of prior experience, and has led me to discover countless pursuits I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. I’d like to spend my third year giving back to the community and utilising my skills to make an impact. My experience in a wide range of arts productions has given me a deep understanding of the challenges students and societies face and the knowledge and connections necessary to address them, which makes me an ideal representative for the artsUCL community.
As a residing Societies rep, I pledge to continue communicating with societies to ensure they are kept informed of relevant policy, and to hold those in power accountable by voting in the interest of the arts.
To be completely honest, in this position there is precious little anyone can do except for vote on policy, and nothing tangible or useful will ever really make it to a zone to have such direct impact unless its a general policy like above.
But rest assured I have the interests of the arts at heart!

1. Launch an "Art Society Onboarding Guide Program" to provide new members with starter resource packs and one-on-one consultations, helping them integrate more smoothly and reducing barriers to participation.
2. Increase the number of non-auditioned art activities—such as improvisational theater workshops—to encourage broader student involvement and create more opportunities for talent expression.
3. Improve the booking and allocation system for art practice spaces, advocate for more rehearsal and creative venues, and strengthen partnerships with local artistic resources.
Since 6th grade, I have built solid artistic and leadership experience. I performed in original musicals at the Shanghai Grand Theatre and served as Drama Club Vice President, planning multiple shows and gaining backstage experience in designing props and costumes. As a core member of our award-winning dance team, I developed strong execution skills. My background in oil painting adds cross-disciplinary insight. I understand performers' needs and society operations firsthand. With a "professional yet approachable" approach, I will provide practical support to ensure our art societies thrive.
I am an "actor" rooted in artistic practice, not a bystander—from stage performances to society management, I’ve walked every path you might encounter. I get the hesitation of new members stepping in, the frustration of societies short on venues, and the eagerness for more collaborative chances. If elected, I won’t just propose plans; I’ll turn them into real actions with my hands-on experience. I’ll be the spokesperson who truly hears your needs and fights for resources for our art community. Vote for me, and let’s build a more inclusive, dynamic, and connected Arts society together!
