What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

In my three weeks at Urbanest St Pancras I have noticed that there have not been many opportunities for us to connect. I want to change that by organising fun socials, games and events where everyone feels welcome and included. Hey, I’m Azeem, studying MSc Mechanical Eng at UCL and I love bringing people together. If elected, I hope to achieve a lively and supportive hall where residents can enjoy their time, build lasting friendships and always know they have someone to turn to. Together we can create the most vibrant and friendly community.

Let’s make Urbanest feel like home for everyone!

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As someone who did my undergraduate in London and has lived in both halls and private student accommodation, I know the ins and outs of student life here. That experience means I understand what makes a hall feel welcoming and what can sometimes be missing. I’ll bring enthusiasm, creativity and positivity to the role, making sure our events are fun and inclusive. I enjoy bringing people together, and I’m confident I can help Urbanest become a lively, supportive and connected community.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

You should vote for me because I understand what it feels like to move away from family to pursue studies. I know how important your social life is in making sure you don’t feel homesick and instead feel included, welcomed, and able to enjoy your time here. With my experience of living in both halls and private accommodation in London, I know what helps students feel connected. If elected, I’ll bring energy, positivity, and creativity to organise events that make Urbanest a true home.

Our hall, our community, our home!
