What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
I am a feminist and have created an interactive webpage analyzing the marginalization of female characters in Chinese suspense dramas, proposing three manifestations and reasons (https://yishenren.github.io/wicid/).
As a IOE PASHE student representative, I ensured that everyone felt understood and heard, becoming a reliable link between students and faculty. As Vice Manager at the Communication University of China’s Radio Station, I sharpened my organizational skills through 140 live broadcasts. I led national-level projects and completed six internships, equipping me to share practical tips.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
I am dedicated to advancing gender equality within our institution by raising awareness of issues such as discrimination and harassment. For instance, I have observed that many UCL societies have signed the Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment Pledge, and I propose we adopt similar measures.
I also aim to implement programs that empower women, including workshops, mentorship opportunities, and leadership training to enhance their skills and confidence. I will encourage more women to take on leadership roles, ensuring that diverse perspectives are incorporated into decision-making processes.

I bring strong leadership, organizational skills, and experience managing diverse projects.
As a Consultant for the British Red Cross, I developed proposals, led presentations, and analyzed questionnaires, enhancing my ability to communicate and collaborate effectively. My role as a Business Development Manager at AIESEC UK sharpened my skills in managing teams and projects. Additionally, my experience as Media Officer at UCL EFS strengthened my content creation and event organization abilities.
I’m confident these skills will allow me to contribute meaningfully to the Women Students' Network.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
If elected, my goal is to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women students by amplifying our voices and organizing campaigns on issues like gender equality, mental health, and career development.
I aim to strengthen the network's presence on campus through both in-person and digital events, ensuring all women students feel empowered and supported. By collaborating with student representatives and stakeholders, I hope to implement impactful policies and promote sustainable initiatives that address current issues and create lasting change.

As Social Secretary, I aim to foster an inclusive and supportive environment where women at UCL feel empowered to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful networks. I hope to organize events that not only celebrate our diversity but also encourage dialogue around issues women face in university and beyond. My goal is to create spaces where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and inspired, contributing to the strength of our community.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
I bring strong organizational and leadership skills, developed through my experience founding and managing a STEM club and coordinating events in both academic and volunteer roles. My background in research has taught me how to approach tasks with precision and creativity. I have a passion for creating inclusive spaces and a dedication to ensuring that all women feel represented and valued. I’m also committed to addressing issues of intersectionality within our community, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
As a woman who has experienced firsthand the challenges that menstruation can cause—such as fatigue, pain, and difficulty focusing—I am passionate about advocating for more support for women at UCL. I’ve also heard similar struggles from many female peers. My friendly, empathetic nature allows me to connect with others, and I have strong organizational and communication skills, which will help me coordinate effective campaigns and events. I will ensure women’s needs are not only heard but acted upon.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
If elected, I will advocate for policies that provide better academic and well-being support for women, especially during menstruation. This includes pushing for flexible deadlines or exam arrangements during difficult periods and improving access to menstrual products on campus. I also want to promote workshops and events that raise awareness about women’s health issues and create safe spaces for discussion. My goal is to ensure that UCL recognizes and accommodates the specific challenges women face.

Hi! I’m currently pursuing my MSc in Management with a corporate pathway, and I have a strong background in mass media and communication. My public speaking skills were honed through district and state-level storytelling and debate competitions, and I’m passionate about sharing ideas. I was honored to receive the Best Student Award among 2,000 peers, graduating top of my class with a CGPA of 9.80.
I’ve co-founded a startup, worked with various firms, and held leadership roles like Public Relations Officer and Secretary of a studio that managed over 1,000 students. With a 99.74 percentile in the CAT exam and experience organizing large-scale events, I’m committed to helping others succeed in a supportive and professional environment.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
As the Women Students Representative, my role would focus on actively supporting the relevant student officer and ensuring that issues affecting women within the network are addressed effectively. I will coordinate campaigns, events, and policy initiatives related to women’s concerns in collaboration with other committee members. This involves advocating for the needs of women students, bringing their voices into the decision-making process, and making sure their perspectives are represented.
I’m committed to creating a more inclusive, supportive environment for women at UCL. By leading and organizing meaningful events and campaigns, I aim to raise awareness on issues that matter most to women students, from mental health and safety to career support and gender equality.
