I am a feminist and have created an interactive webpage analyzing the marginalization of female characters in Chinese suspense dramas, proposing three manifestations and reasons (https://yishenren.github.io/wicid/).
As a IOE PASHE student representative, I ensured that everyone felt understood and heard, becoming a reliable link between students and faculty. As Vice Manager at the Communication University of China’s Radio Station, I sharpened my organizational skills through 140 live broadcasts. I led national-level projects and completed six internships, equipping me to share practical tips.
I am dedicated to advancing gender equality within our institution by raising awareness of issues such as discrimination and harassment. For instance, I have observed that many UCL societies have signed the Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment Pledge, and I propose we adopt similar measures.
I also aim to implement programs that empower women, including workshops, mentorship opportunities, and leadership training to enhance their skills and confidence. I will encourage more women to take on leadership roles, ensuring that diverse perspectives are incorporated into decision-making processes.

I aim to strengthen the network's presence on campus through both in-person and digital events, ensuring all women students feel empowered and supported. By collaborating with student representatives and stakeholders, I hope to implement impactful policies and promote sustainable initiatives that address current issues and create lasting change.

As a woman who has experienced firsthand the challenges that menstruation can cause—such as fatigue, pain, and difficulty focusing—I am passionate about advocating for more support for women at UCL. I’ve also heard similar struggles from many female peers. My friendly, empathetic nature allows me to connect with others, and I have strong organizational and communication skills, which will help me coordinate effective campaigns and events. I will ensure women’s needs are not only heard but acted upon.
If elected, I will advocate for policies that provide better academic and well-being support for women, especially during menstruation. This includes pushing for flexible deadlines or exam arrangements during difficult periods and improving access to menstrual products on campus. I also want to promote workshops and events that raise awareness about women’s health issues and create safe spaces for discussion. My goal is to ensure that UCL recognizes and accommodates the specific challenges women face.

Hi! I’m currently pursuing my MSc in Management with a corporate pathway, and I have a strong background in mass media and communication. My public speaking skills were honed through district and state-level storytelling and debate competitions, and I’m passionate about sharing ideas. I was honored to receive the Best Student Award among 2,000 peers, graduating top of my class with a CGPA of 9.80.
I’ve co-founded a startup, worked with various firms, and held leadership roles like Public Relations Officer and Secretary of a studio that managed over 1,000 students. With a 99.74 percentile in the CAT exam and experience organizing large-scale events, I’m committed to helping others succeed in a supportive and professional environment.
As the Women Students Representative, my role would focus on actively supporting the relevant student officer and ensuring that issues affecting women within the network are addressed effectively.
