Ines Lordonnois (She/her)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Unfortunately the things I'm going to say won't be ground-breaking, but so be it!
I was a class delegate for most of my time at school (my speeches were always very passionate haha). I've also organised visits for 300 students during trips to Rome, Barcelona, Catania. However, being a faculty representative is on a different scale, a new challenge that I'll be honoured to take on! I am very organised, a quick learner + good listener and highly motivated, qualities I think are perfect for this role. I also know this role requires time and commitment, 2 things I'm looking forward to providing ;)

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
  • Reaching out to people, listening to them seriously and responding quickly to their needs
  • Discover more of my faculty and of UCL
  • For people to trust my ability to help them
  • Learn more from others, acquire better communication skills
+ why not meet some really nice people along the way?

Please summarise why students should vote for you.
  1. I'm very sociable and (almost) not afraid of anything => especially not of sharing your opinions!
  2. I answer my emails quickly (otherwise I'll be stressed)
  3. I sincerely want to help as well as learning from this experience
  4. Even though I'm a fresher, try to trust me in this new adventure!

Bonus: you'll make my day :)

Francis Deng (He/Him)
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I can bring expertise, leadership, and communication skills to this role. In high school, I was China Think Big's National Committee's Operation Vice President, committee member of many societies, and VP of the Student Union. These positions have strengthened my organisation and problem-solving ability and to listen to peers and work with them to make positive change. Already being elected as the course representative in my department, plus my internship experiences in education, I can grasp diverse perspectives and meet your needs with these qualities and my passion for student life.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I intend to prioritise the academic interests of students by actively seeking their input and representing their needs in critical decision-making bodies such as the Faculty Teaching Committee and Education Zone if elected. I will concentrate on improving the teaching quality and addressing student concerns regarding assessments by establishing anonymous and easy-to-find feedback facilities. I aspire to cultivate a culture in which students and staff work together to enhance educational standards and guarantee that students have a say in their education.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I’m vote-worthy because I am committed to representing their academic interests and making sure their voices are heard. With my leadership experience and passion for academic excellence, I will work to ensure that students’ needs and concerns are addressed within the faculty. I will actively collaborate with Course Reps regarding feedback from each department and I will efficiently communicate any changes or developments to the executive body. Together, we can establish a better educational environment for all and I will exert relentless effort to actualise that vision.
