What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

My name is Eleanor and I am studying for an MRes in Child Health under the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. I am really enthusiastic about listening to student voices to make positive change within the faculty. I will be dedicated and committed to my role ensuring we can continue the amazing work implemented by the previous representatives.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I hope to use the strong communication skills I gained during my undergraduate degree in medicine to ensure everyone's feedback is communicated to the faculty leading to effective and timely resolution of concerns.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I am passionate and committed to working with the faculty to make sure everyone has a really positive experience during their studies.

Dr. Padhmaja Varadaraj Ravichandar
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I intend to bring my broad experience in healthcare, in community management, and in volunteering and mentoring at numerous NGOs to this position. As such, my work at the Faculty of Population Health Sciences will benefit from my experience in team management, community building, negotiation, and conflict resolution. I would bring my unique perspectives and ideals to this role in order to improve the academic atmosphere for everyone and serve as a cornerstone for an inclusive community.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

In the event that I win, I will serve as a useful liaison and conduit between the students and the staff. My primary aim is to be effective in communicating the ongoing updates to the students, and, also, to provide constructive feedback to the faculty, such as encouraging more experiential field trips for students to get a firsthand immersive experience in Population Health. In order to ensure that everyone's voice is heard and their perspectives considered, which is essential in a community as diverse as this one, I wish to institute an inclusive platform as the faculty representative.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Because I bring an assortment of distinctive experiences and skills to the table, students should vote for me. I will;

  • be a dependable point of contact for concerns regarding the faculty and student experience
  • encourage constructive criticism and respectful discussions among students and the staff
  • speak up for the faculty's views and the students' interests
  • encourage the faculty to organise more affordable experiential field trips as part of the learning process
  • work to bring in more faculty-specific societies
  • enhance inter- and intra-faculty community building.
