Election post

Status
Elected
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I intend to bring my broad experience in healthcare, in community management, and in volunteering and mentoring at numerous NGOs to this position. As such, my work at the Faculty of Population Health Sciences will benefit from my experience in team management, community building, negotiation, and conflict resolution. I would bring my unique perspectives and ideals to this role in order to improve the academic atmosphere for everyone and serve as a cornerstone for an inclusive community.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

In the event that I win, I will serve as a useful liaison and conduit between the students and the staff. My primary aim is to be effective in communicating the ongoing updates to the students, and, also, to provide constructive feedback to the faculty, such as encouraging more experiential field trips for students to get a firsthand immersive experience in Population Health. In order to ensure that everyone's voice is heard and their perspectives considered, which is essential in a community as diverse as this one, I wish to institute an inclusive platform as the faculty representative.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Because I bring an assortment of distinctive experiences and skills to the table, students should vote for me. I will;

  • be a dependable point of contact for concerns regarding the faculty and student experience
  • encourage constructive criticism and respectful discussions among students and the staff
  • speak up for the faculty's views and the students' interests
  • encourage the faculty to organise more affordable experiential field trips as part of the learning process
  • work to bring in more faculty-specific societies
  • enhance inter- and intra-faculty community building.
