Fight Team Lead

The Fight Team Lead in the University MMA Club is a dynamic and strategic role focused on the development and success of the competitive aspect of the club. This position requires a deep understanding of mixed martial arts, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to guide athletes through rigorous training and competition preparations.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Strategic Planning:**
- Work closely with coaching staff to develop long-term and short-term strategies for the success of the MMA fight team.
- Collaborate on creating individualized training plans for team members based on their skills, strengths, and competition goals.

2. **Fighter Development:**
- Identify and nurture the potential of fighters within the club, focusing on skill enhancement, mental toughness, and overall athleticism.
- Provide guidance on fight-specific techniques, strategies, and tactics.

3. **Training Coordination:**
- Organize and coordinate fight team training sessions, ensuring a balance of disciplines and skills necessary for MMA competitions.
- Collaborate with other club leaders to integrate the fight team into the broader club activities.

4. **Competition Preparation:**
- Oversee the preparation of the fight team for competitions, ensuring that fighters are physically and mentally ready for the challenges ahead.
- Coordinate with coaching staff to develop fight-specific game plans and strategies.

5. **Team Dynamics:**
- Foster a supportive and cohesive team environment, promoting teamwork, camaraderie, and mutual respect among fight team members.
- Address any interpersonal issues within the team and encourage open communication.

6. **Performance Evaluation:**
- Assess the performance of fight team members during training and competitions, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Conduct periodic evaluations to track progress and make necessary adjustments to training plans.

7. **Represent the Club:**
- Serve as a representative of the MMA Club at competitions and events, promoting the club's values and sportsmanship.
- Build relationships with other MMA organizations, fostering collaboration and opportunities for the club's fighters.

8. **Communication:**
- Communicate with other Universities to organise fighting schedules, appropriate fight matches and logistics required for fights to occur.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a successful MMA fighter.
- Leadership experience within the MMA Club or relevant sports organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of various MMA disciplines and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
