Hi everyone,
I’m applying for the role of Writers’ Editor for the Writers’ Society magazine. I’m a second year BA Creative Arts and Humanities student, and I’m currently preparing to begin my dissertation, a creative writing project, which has deepened both my commitment to writing and my interest in the editorial process.
I’ve contributed to this journal as well as other UCL magazines, so I understand the care and collaboration that goes into producing thoughtful, high-quality work. Alongside my writing, I’ve gained hands-on editing experience through working at a local newspaper, where I edited and proofread articles, as well as through peer workshops within my course. I’ve also had publishing insight through work experience at HarperCollins.
I love writing groups and see editing as one of the best ways to connect with other writers, helping shape ideas while respecting each writer’s unique voice. I would love to help build a supportive, creative magazine and collaborate closely with contributors to make it something we’re all proud of.
Thank you for considering me!
