Playing in both the Mixed and Men's 2 teams means I've seen firsthand what's working, what isn't, and what we've all been moaning about in the group chats. I know the people, I know the issues, and I'll make sure every team actually feels heard, not just nodded at. Stuff like court booking chaos? Yeah, we're fixing that.
Beyond playing, I've genuinely loved stepping up this year whether it is by helping out, encouraging people, or taking on whatever needed doing. As VP, I'd get to keep doing exactly that, just with a lot more impact (and I'll finally have a title to justify it).
But this isn't just about the teams. The social side, the academy, the people who are part of this club without being on a team: every aspect of our society matters.
At the end of the day, I just want everyone to enjoy being part of this club and feel like their voice counts. You know me, you know I'll actually do it.
Volleyball has been a big part of my life for the past nine years, and it has given me some of my most meaningful experiences both on and off the court. Through playing at school, captaining my team, and representing Singapore internationally on the men’s team, I’ve seen how much a strong volleyball community can shape people’s enjoyment of the sport.
At UCL, I’ve really enjoyed being part of the volleyball environment and getting to know players across the whole community. I’m standing for Vice President because I want to help continue building a society where people feel excited to be involved, whether they’re competing at a high level, interested in learning a new sport, or simply playing for the love of the game.
I aim to work closely with the President in improving training opportunities and strengthening relationships across the society. Ultimately, I hope to share my passion for a sport that has been such a big part of my life.
My vision for UCL Volleyball is a tight-knit society where players across all teams and levels feel supported and have the opportunity to develop. Vote for me and let’s achieve this together!!!
