United Nations Association: President

Hello everyone! As many of you will know my name is Robin and I am running to be President of UCL UNA! I have been a member of the committee for the last two years, both as a first year rep and then the MUN Director. During my two years in this society, I have become familiar with both the internal workings of UCLUNA and the wider London circuit, all while making some great friends and memories! As MUN director this year I have both planned and ran the weekly sessions, ensuring that our society was welcoming to beginners and veterans aside. I have taken part in many conferences this year, including as USG Acads for UCLMUN XI, and various staffing roles in other universities, giving me a broad base of experience and extensive connections to draw upon during planning. I believe that our society is an amazing community and it would be my honour to help guide this society onwards next year! 

What would I do?

• Continue to run weekly sessions, with a two pronged focus on ensuring accessibility to MUNers of all backgrounds, as well as diverse committees including crisis and historical GA. 
• Establish more socials like a pizza night or karaoke.
• Foster the bond between UCL and other universities through conference participation, joint trainings and fun socials .
• Cement UCLUNA as THE dominant society when it comes to embassy visits.
• Lead UCLMUN conference into another successful iteration
• International trips!!!!!!!
