UN Women Society: Welfare Officer

Hi everyone!!

I am running for Welfare Officer of the UN Women Society because I would love to continue fostering inclusivity and diversity within our events and our community. It was an immense honour to be part of the founding committee last year, and it truly was the highlight of my first year at UCL.

Especially in today’s turbulent geopolitical context, it feels more important than ever to continue defending women’s rights. They are, to me, about more than advocacy alone; they are about empowerment, equality, and solidarity. I believe it is essential that every member feels included, seen, and safe, regardless of their background.

This role resonates deeply with me because it reflects my values, empathy and the strength of community.

While UN Women stands for the rights of all women globally, I want to ensure that within our own society, every member feels heard, supported, and valued.
